Reflecting His Glory: A Journey of Transformation
"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like." (James 1:22-24)
This verse is a profound reminder. It calls us to not just hear but to act, to reflect deeply on who we are and who we are becoming. Often, when I look in the mirror, I see a reflection that falls short of the person I want to be, not a reflection of my Heavenly Father. I long to be close to Him, to reflect His glory and awesomeness in every aspect of my life. This desire is not about arrogance but about becoming a true reflection of His love and grace.
Just as I hope to see my children reflect the best parts of me, I strive to be a reflection of my Heavenly Father. This transformation happens through intentional time spent with Him, mirroring the same dedication in nurturing our marriages and our children. By being present, intentional, and genuine, we help them grow into the individuals they were created to be.
Let’s embrace this journey of transformation, knowing that through Him, we can reflect His glory in every aspect of our lives.
